The architectural response centers on the skilful retention of a period façade, utilizing a complex system of temporary and permanent structural steel members to anchor the historic grain within a contemporary context. Rising above a double-basement parking footprint, the 37-apartment scheme navigates the constraints of a high-density Glen Eira activity center, balancing the rhythmic detailing of the original streetscape with the clean, vertical lines of the new addition.
