The project consisted of the complete redevelopment of the existing Sedger’s Reef Hotel. A temporary hotel was constructed from shipping containers prior to the demolition and construction of the new hotel on the adjacent site to allow continued use of the Hotel License.

The design brief was to provide a structure with a simplistic nature with blockwork walls broken up with areas of glass

and a metal deck roof form complemented by glass highlights and pitches of varying shapes and sizes. The area overlooking the sea front incorporates external decking, oversized umbrellas and shade sails providing a focus on strategic vantage points and view lines across to the sea.
