A collection of bespoke residences…

LUXURY HOMES FOR THE OWNER OCCUPIER

Paxton goes beyond traditional multi-residential design to offer a collection of bespoke residences designed to celebrate luxury.

Residential design to reflect the local context

The buildings, containing 19 residences, was designed to appear as a luxury detached home, sitting seamlessly amid the large houses of the established Melbourne suburb of Malvern East.

Elements of the instantly-recognisable local streetscape were incorporated into the architecture, including strongly-expressed solid balustrade elements and a low-pitched roof form with wide eaves.

Natural materials, including raw stone, brickwork, patinaed copper and natural timber all create a level of richness and fine grain detail that appears differently depending on scale and distance.

Bespoke designs for owner occupiers

The combination of a relatively small scale built form and large format apartments allowed each Paxton apartment design to be individually conceived – more like individual residential design than a standard product.

Each apartment maximises its position in the floorplan, taking advantage of site-specific view, access to sun and ventilation, and meaningful connections to external balcony spaces.

Bespoke interior design

Apartment interiors were similarly tailored, with a proportion of layouts and individual detailing designed in consultation with the end purchasers.

The focus for the homes was on luxurious open-plan living with abundant natural light. Interior spaces were carefully zoned to separate more contemplative spaces (such as bedrooms and retreats) from the more active areas of the residence.

Several of the apartments were purchased and combined into larger residences, which were redesigned to specific requirements.
