DESIGN ARCHITECT / ASSISTANT

We currently have multiple roles available for Design Architects and Design Assistants focused on the front end of projects at the design and planning stage. However, the roles will require the candidate to have basic construction knowledge and experience.

The candidates should ideally have 3+ years minimum experience (up to 10 approximately) to join our practice based in South Yarra. Sound Revit experience is essential, however candidates’ abilities will be assessed on an individual basis. We are open-minded about the roles offered and positions offered.

The successful individuals will be working within our design team working on delivering high end residential apartments, multi-residential apartments and townhouses as well as other forms of commercial or mixed-use projects.

Skills and Experience Required

    • Ensure that design intent is maintained and coordinated accordingly. The candidate must be confident in their ability to check their own work.
    • Work on all elements of design stages, inclusive of Town Planning Applications.
    • Sound knowledge of Melbourne’s planning regulations is essential including but not limited to the various planning schemes as well as The Better Apartment Design Guide for Residential Apartment Design.
    • Experience in similar projects and the residential apartment sector is essential.
    • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage your own workload while co-ordinating with the project team to effectively deliver the projects and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with clients and consultants.
    • The prospective candidate will be given plenty of opportunity to grow within the business.
    • Needs to be able to show initiative, be passionate and creative and have the ability to work under pressure.
    • A pro-active and positive attitude is extremely highly rated.
